Gifted Services
ISD 199 strives to provide rigor for all students. As part of that work, we offer a continuum of services for identified gifted and talented students districtwide. The continuum is based on a Levels of Service approach.
We have every learner in mind and are deeply committed to gifted services districtwide. We continue to work to expand enrichment programming and services both inside and outside of the school day.
Within the Classroom, Beyond the General Curriculum
- Differentiation within the classroom (content, pacing, process, product)
- Varied course sequences (ISD 199 English Course Sequences and Acceleration Options, ISD 199 Math Course Sequences and Acceleration Options)
- Career pathways, including business and entrepreneurship; computer science and information technology; education; healthcare; natural resources, sustainability, and food systems; and transportation and the skilled trades)
- Challenge-based learning, in which students use their interests to look deeper into local and global issues and collaborate with peers to help solve them.
- College-level learning, including Advanced Placement (AP) courses, College Level Examination Program (CLEP) courses, College in the Schools (CIS) courses, and concurrent enrollment options
Talent Development
- Enrichment before, during, and after school (i.e. Link Crew, WEB, Student Advisory, Youth Executive Board, Drama, Math Masters, Math League, Robotics, Marching Band, etc.)
